Coupling of a quantum emitter to the surface plasmons of a nanowire

Abstract

A finite element method is applied to study the coupling of a single photon emitter in nanodiamond to surface plasmons of a silver nanowire. Sensitivity of this system to different parameters is explored. Novel applications for the coupled system are proposed.
